Handicap Review
How to use this tool
- Update your handicaps in your event to the 12-month low of GHIN. ⚠ Do this before pulling the query. Go to
Players → Update Handicaps → Update Indexes. FromUSGA World Handicap System, setLowest Date in Range→ change the date to a 1-year range. - Pull the Step 1 query. Go to
Queries → 02_Handicap Review Step 1. - Paste the data. Select the First Name of the first player, highlight everything in the query, and paste it into the tool below.
- Review every section and make your decisions. Send questionnaires to players who need them, then address Manual Review — both sub-sections: (a) Unvalidated Players and Division Floor — choose A) keep them at their division floor, or B) move them down a division using their 12-month low GHIN; and (b) Validated Players with T-Index Above Division — enter # of rounds posted and last round played (mm/yy) for each, then click Confirm & Apply. ⚠ Submit Review will be blocked until every flagged player in both sub-sections is addressed. Then review the reference sections: Division Floor, 12-Month Low, First Time Players, and Watch List.
- Update your handicaps in your event to Tournament Index. ⚠ Don't skip — this sets the playing handicaps. Go to
Players → Update Handicaps → Update Indexes. FromTournament Indexand select today's date. - Make the updates to handicaps. Use either Handicaps to Update in the tool (changes only) or the Full Roster. Go to
Players → Mass Edit → Player Infoand update all handicaps. - Submit your review. Click Submit Review to download the file. After you have downloaded that file click the green button that appears to send your email to the handicap committee. ⚠ Make sure you attach the file you just downloaded!
- Pull the Step 2 query. After the event, go to
Queries → 02_Handicap Review Step 2. - Run the Handicap Double-Check Tool. Paste the Step 2 query (or load your saved review JSON) into the verification section and click Run Verification. Review the Problems report for any red or yellow discrepancies, then confirm against the Full Roster Verification.
