North Carolina’s Walnut Creek Country Club Results

The course was in phenomenal shape today. The temperatures were warm and so were a few players on the course today. 

In Division 1 players played at 7,012 yds. Ivan Jones shot 78(+6) to win D1 by 3 shots over Tim Washburn. Jones with his first APT victory of the year places him back in the hunt for the road to pinehurst.

In Division 2 we had a couple players break 80. Michael Lane with 79 (+7). Jorge Puello squeaks by for the victory with a 77(+5) over Lane. The late emergence of Puello could make player of the year race interesting.

In Division 3 Anthony Stephenson won by large margin with a score of 85(+13). Stephenson first victory of the year has also put him back in the conversation for possible late season push.

In Division 4 Daniel Henris wins his second event of the year. Henris 90(+18) was good enough for a 3 shot victory over Curtis Faison. Congratulation Henris on consecutive victories.

In Division 5 Ken Hansley Jr. showed up today to take the victory over Cal Rogers. The match came down to the last hole as the players were tied on 18th tee box. Hansley Jr. managed to squeak a par out on the final hole for a  1 shot victory. Hansley Jr 89(+17).
