Blue Ridge Trail GC 2025 Recap

August 10, 2025 – Central PA Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour – Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club

Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club was a challenging course starting right away on the 1st tee box. A short Par 4 that looked easy to the eyes but offered a tree lined window to the fairway. It made for a hard start that had many contestants wishing they had that first shot back. The fairways throughout the course were woven together with numerous areas of marsh and waist high switchgrass. This course definitely brings forth the choice of high risk vs high reward.

    Division 2

The field for Division 2 was a good one starting with 10 players. By the end of the contest the winner was clear. Christian Alderucci playing out of Leonardtown, MD took the course by storm. He put together an amazing 37 on the front followed by a 39 on the back. In the end he beat the field by 3 strokes with a score of 76. Christian also picked up 3 Super Skins and 3 Division skins to pad his pockets. In 2nd place was Adam Gamble from Hackettstown, NJ. He closed the day with a hard fought 79. In 3rd place, also from Hackettstown, NJ was Gary Bordick. Gary finished his 18 with a score of 80.

Both players finished the round tied at 84 and a playoff was set. The first playoff hole ended in a tie but the second was claimed by John Friedman to claim the trophy. Third place was taken by Dylan D’Amato from Flemington, NJ with a final score of 85, just one shot behind.

    Division 4

The 14-player field of Division 4 was led by one player from start to finish. Andrew Repetto came out firing on the front 9 with a stellar 40. He didn’t stop there, the back 9 was delivered one better at 39 for a total of 79 at the finish to beat the field by 5 strokes. Finishing in second place was Kurt Bonewitz playing out of Pottstown, Pa with a score of 84. Third place was claimed by Kyle Hall from Shavertown, PA. The day didn’t start as he planned and after the first 9 holes he was 13 over par.
