2023 Virtues Golf Tournament Results

At Virtues Golf Club we had 28 players across 4 Divisions come out on what was an extremely hot and humid day.  Scoring was very solid considering the extreme difficulty of Virtues.   

In Division 2 Chris Wikle held the lead pretty much the entire day.  After an impressive opening 37 featuring two birdies at the difficult 7 and 9, Chris would make two more birdies on the back giving him a large lead coming into the house.  Chris would bogey the last three to shoot 39 on the back for a 76 and a 3 shot victory.  Travis Souders and newcomer Aidan Allen would shoot 79’s to tie for 2nd. 

In Division 3 Rick Williamson held off charges made by Adam Kohler, Roman Helsel, and Chip Schneider.  Rick went out impressively on the front with 41 and then hung in there on the back shooting 43 for an 84 with a 3 shot victory.  Adam Kohler, Roman Helsel, and Chip Schneider all shot 87 for a tie for 2nd. 

In Division 4 Jim Kohler, John Sherman, and Chris Berry were all within two of the lead on the front but then Jim Kohler separated himself with an impressive 39 on the back highlighted by a birdie on the par 5 16th.  Jim would shoot 45,39 for 84 and a 5 shot victory.  John Sherman would shoot 46,43 for 89 and 2nd. 

In Division 5 Kristie Souders and Quinntin White were tied for the lead after the front nine but Kristie would take control after her impressive par at number 11.  She would hang on down the stretch to shoot two shots lower on the back for a 1 shot victory.  Doc Sherman finished 2nd just 1 stroke back. 

In Senior Net Chris Wikle would shoot a two under par 70 for the victory.  Jim Kohler shot 73 for 2nd place.   

Closest to the Pins were #5 Aidan Allen, #9 Rick Williamson, #12 Ray Conley, #14 Chip Schneider.
