2024 Beavercreek Golf Club Tournament Results

On Saturday, August 3rd, the Amateur Players Tour held the OHIO STATE STABLEFORD CHAMPIONSHIP at the beautiful Beavercreek Golf Club in Beavercreek , OH. When Golf Digest gave this course 4.5 Stars on its “Places to Play” list they were not wrong!! 39 players from OH, KY, IN, PA, SC & WV battled the humid conditions to take home the trophies & prize money. 

The Columbus Amateur Players Tour travels throughout Central Ohio, offering golfers of all skill levels a chance to compete in ten different divisions. Designed by players for players, the tour aims to create a fun-filled, competitive environment. Here’s a breakdown of the results from Saturday’s tournament: 

Division 1 
Justin Arens from Dublin, OH played his 3rd tour event of the year and notched his 3rd Victory of the year firing a -2 under par 70 netting him with 76 points. Jason Lanning from Delaware, OH finished 2nd with a round of 74 and 70 points 

Division 2 
Rick Williamson from Wayne, OH, coming off of his win at Chapel Hill took home the trophy today with a 78 and 68 points. Josh Mers of Sugarcreek Twp, OH finished 2nd with a 82 & 57 points. 

Division 3 
Don Dawson of Reynoldsburg, OH, goes back to back victories running away from the field on Saturday with a round of 77 & 63 points and two way tie for 2nd place between Danny Bay from Lancaster, OH. 81 & 57 points & Richard Navritil Czech Republic 80 & 57 points.  

Division 4 
D4 needed to go to a 1-hole playoff between Don Hubbard of Independence, KY & Rich Ryan of New Madison, OH both players shot a strong round of 83 & 53 points through the 1st 18 holes, so they were sent back out to hole #10 where Don defeated Rich to take the trophy back home to Kentucky.  

Division 5 
Derek Steinfield from Mason, OH had no fear when it came to pulling out the driver on the tee box to get the W on the day shooting his low round of the year an 88 with 44 points over current D5 Cincinnati Tour Player of the Year Phillip Evers who shot an equally impressive 88 & 43 points  

Senior Division Winners 
Division 2: Rick Williamson – Wayne, OH 
Division 3: Don Dawson – Reynoldsburg, OH 
Division 4: Don Hubbard – Independence, KY 
Division 5: Phillip Evers – Milford, OH
