2024 Park Mammoth Golf Tournament Results

The Kentucky and Nashville chapters converged on Cave City, KY this past Sunday at the recently redesigned Park Mammoth Golf Club. The course was formerly known as Cave Valley Golf Club as was entirely redesigned by Ross/Coton Craign Golf Design in 2021 and opened to the public in the spring of 2022. The course and the play did not disappoint with two open divisions and two senior divisions needing playoffs to decide the champion 

Division 1  – Tyler Sharpe from Greensburg and Andrew Miller from Louisville finished their rounds tied at +1 73 and headed back out for a playoff to decide 1^st place. Sharpe prevailed and takes home the 1^st place prize and the trophy. 

Senior Division 1 – Robert Sain from Murfreesboro wins by two strokes with his round of +3 73. 

Division 2 – Kevin Hoffman from Prospect and Matt Walters from Frankfort finished tied at the top of the leaderboard after posting rounds of +3 73. Hoffman outlasts Walters to grab the victory and 1^st place gift card. Walters takes home 2^nd place.  

Robert Whittaker from Frankfort and John Bean from Nashville finish in a two-way tie for 3^rd place, both finishing one stroke out of the playoff at +4 74. 

Sonny Beachy from Hendersonville and Tony White from Nicholasville finish at +5 75 and a two-way tie for 5^th place. 

Senior Division 2 – Hoffman and Walters also finished 1^st and 2^nd place, respectively at the top of the Senior leaderboard. 

Division 3 – Kevin Smith from Lebanon finished his round with a splash, holing out for an eagle 2 on the par 4 18^th, for a round of +4 74 to break out of a tie for 1^st with Jack Hranec from Nolensville and score the win. Hranec does take the 2^nd place prize. 

Chad Jackson from White House and John Blanton from London finish in a two-way tie for 3^rd place with rounds of +8 78.   

In a three-way tie for 5^th were Chris Guthrie from Brentwood, Gene Stefaniak from Frankfort and Aubrey Barrow from Richmond. All players finished their round at +9 79. 

Senior Division 3 – Chris Guthrie wins the scorecard playoff with his back nine score of 39. Gene Stefaniak takes 2^nd place. 

Division 4 – Wade Williams from Nolensville edges Danville’s Barry Bruington for 1^st place with his round of +10 80.  Bruington finished one stroke back with a round of +11 81.  

Hendersonville’s Lucas Wheeler take solo 3^rd place, finishing at +12 82.   

Basil Hall from Primm Springs and Joseph Webb from Nashville finish in a tie for 4^th place.  Both players posted +14 84. 

Senior Division 4 – Wade Williams capitalizes on his Division 4 Open win to also take the Senior Division 4 trophy and gift card. 

Division 5 – Bon Aqua’s Jason Phillips notches his 1^st APT victory scoring a two-stroke win over Cookeville’s William Harvick. Phillips finished the day at +16 86 and Harvick finished at +18 88. 

Aaron Hobbs from Lewisburg take the 3^rd place prize with his round of +19 89. 

Senior Division 5 – Rachel Guthrie from Brentwood posts +24 94 and captures 1^st place by four strokes.
