    We had 56 players competing at Bermuda Run CC. The players were invited with early summer-like conditions for the weather in the high 90’s. The course was in fantastic shape and if you are in the Winston Salem area, it’s a must play. 

    In Division 1, we had 9 players competing for elevated points. During the 1st nine Scott Campbell set the tone with 32(-2). On the back Will Morgan continued his strong play and shot 34(-2) to push Scott to finish strong. In the end Scott was able to hang on with a round 69(-1) to win by 1 shot over Will Morgan 70(E). 

     Congratulations  Scott! 

    In Division 2 we had solid performance from local player Terry Newsome with a round of 72(+2). The round was strong enough for Newsome to pull out his 4th win of the season to put a healthy lead over 26 POY. In 2nd place was Brandon Mabe of Summerfield, NC with a score of 74(+4). In 3rd place was Scott Nichols with a score of 75(+5) and in 4th place was Mark Ballew of Huntersville, NC. Newsome also won the senior double dip with that great round today.

    In Division 3 2024, the POY winner shows the talent that allowed him to hoist trophies all last year. Rob Andrews’ round of 76(+6) was nothing short of impressive to win by 2 shots over Russel McDonald of Charlotte. McDonald round of 78(+8) was strong enough to win Senior Double Dip contest. 

    Congratulations Rob and Russell! 

    In Division 4 Ronald Lamorte (Not pictured) continues his great play. After coming of 1 elevate victory at Occano CC. He follows it up with back-to-back elevated wins! Lamorte round of 80(+10) held onto a 2 shot lead over Huntersville Thomas Gibson. Gibson round of 82(+12) was good enough for Senior Double and runner-up in Division 4!

    In Division 5 we had 8 players competing for the title at Bermuda RunCC.It was Dick Jenkins of Marion, NC with a score of 87(+17) to take victory over new member Jason Virden. Virden round of 91(+21) had him in 2nd place. Jenkins in true double fashion won both events.
