Tournament Champions
The Cincinnati/Dayton Amateur Players Tour came to Piqua Country Club on Saturday May 3rd. The players from four different APT Chapters got to enjoy this classic country club that was opened in 1896 with the original 9 hole designed by Donald Ross. The course was letter renovated and extended to 18 holes by Jack Kidwell.
Division one came down to a playoff between Dustin Fields and Tyler Sipes. Sipes drove the first green and two putted for birdie to secure the victory. Austin Beyers took third with a round of 76.
Jeff Carnacchi shot a round of 77 to secure the Division Two win over Donald Dawson who shot 82. Cort Harter took third with a round of 85.
Division Three came down to a three-person playoff with Alfredo Villao, Merlin Yoder and Kaine Ransome all tied at 89. Villao exited the playoff with a bogey on the first hole. Yoder eventually prevailed after the third hole of the playoff.
David Dietz took division four with a round of 84 followed by Bob Lawless and Chris berry at 88.
In Division Five Derek Stinefield took the win with a round of 86 followed by Skylar Nichols at 92 and Mattew Newberry at 94.
