Division 1
The Cincinnati Chapter’s current Player of the Year leader, Dustin Fields of Xenia, OH, continues his love affair with Denison. Dustin fired a sharp +1 round of 72 to capture his third win at this course in the last three years, edging out Rendall Weaver of Sugarcreek, OH by just one shot.
Division 2
It was a breakthrough performance for Jason Fischer of Chillicothe, OH, who secured his first career APT victory with steady rounds of 36–37. He held off Rick Williamson of Wayne, OH by a single stroke. Cathleen Wong of Parkersburg, WV and Michael Marinangeli of Grove City, OH rounded out the top three with a tie.
Division 3
Michael Bruesch of Newark, OH extended his lead in the Columbus Player of the Year race with a dominant round of 76 (+5). He pulled away from the pack, leaving Tom McNerlin of Oak Hill, OH, Brandon Kristy of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Jason Miller of Millersburg, OH all five shots back in a tie for second place.
Division 4
Danny Hause of North Myrtle Beach, SC took advantage of solid play across the board, posting an 82 that was just enough to edge Patrick Klase of Sunbury, OH by one shot. Van Rome of Canal Winchester, OH claimed third.
Division 5
In the first group out, Aaron Holman of Thornville, OH set the pace with a steady 86 and watched as his name stayed at the top of the leaderboard the rest of the day. Chuck Falter of Reynoldsburg, OH and John Lint of West Lafayette, OH both made strong pushes but had to settle for a tie for second.
Seniors Division (50+)
The seniors brought their A-game as well! Rick Williamson took Division 2 honors, Michael Bruesch added a Division 3 win to his strong season, Danny Hause doubled up with a Division 4 victory, and in Division 5, John Lint made it extra special by winning a playoff over Chuck Falter — just one day before celebrating his 84th birthday!
