    We had 53 players come to Forest Oaks CC. The players were invited with fall-like conditions for the weather in the high 60’s. The course was in fantastic shape and if you are in the Greensboro area it’s a must play and where the Wyndham Championship wa played for over 20 years. 

    In Division 1, Randt Hodges started the season off in blazing fashion picking up his 2nd victory of the year. Hodges shot a round of 75(+3) to win by 4 shots over Jeff Helms. The round also secured the Senior Double Dip victory as well. Congratulations Randy!! 

    In Division 2 we had solid performance from several players. Carolina East Richard Johnson was able to card a round of 76(+4) to win by 1 shot over Adam Nivens and John Wayne Parrish 77(+5). The victory also secured the Senior Double Dip as well. 

    In Division 3 we need extra holes to decide the winner today. After 18 holes Timmy Smith and David Turner carded a round of 81(+9). The players took back to the golf course and it was decided on the 1st playoff hole with a PAR by David Turner to also win in true Senior Double Dip Fashion. In 2nd place Timmy Smith and rounding out the Top 3 was Trinity Manning and Rob Andrews with scores of 82(+10). 

    In Division 4 we 3 competitors that were within 1 shot of each other coming down the stretch. We had Fred Carvalho, Anthony Stephenson, and Lee Touchton battling for the victory. After 18 holes Carvalho cards an 84(+12) to win by 1 shot over Anthony Stephenson and Lee Touchton. Carvalho continues the theme of the day by winning both Senior/Open contests. 

    In Division 5 we needed extra holes to decide the winner. After 18 holes the battles of the Keiths were tied up at 96(+24) Keith Thomas and Virgina Capital Keith Tincher headed back onto the course to play 2 playoff holes and on the 2nd playoff hole Keith Tincher emerged victorious. The victory also secured the Senior Double Dip for Division 5 today.
