    Bay Oaks Invitational

For the first time ever, Houston APT teed it up at Bay Oaks Country Club in Clear Lake, Texas—though Mother Nature nearly had other plans. Six straight days of heavy rain leading up to tournament day had the course soaked, but thanks to the relentless efforts of the Bay Oaks crew, the greens were made playable just in time. Spirits were high and the players were ready to rise to the challenge.

    Division 1
Jarrod Brown came out swinging, carding two birdies en route to an even-par 36 on the front. With Austin Duhon three strokes behind at the turn, Jarrod widened the gap with a clutch birdie on 10 and another on 17, sealing the deal with a commanding 73 (+1) to win by six. Glen McVey locked up second with a 79 (+7).

    Division 2
Fireworks early from Darien Duhon, who birdied holes 1 and 3 on his way to a blazing 35 (-1) front nine. James Michalsky trailed by three with a 38 (+2), while Robert Scarpati tried to close the gap with a birdie on 12. Ultimately, Darien stayed cool under pressure, finishing strong with a 74 (+2) for a four-shot victory. Scarpati, Michalsky, and Shawn Cass all tied for second at 78 (+6).

    Division 3
Alvin Miles posted a 40 (+4) with two birdies, chased closely by Scott Elitzky at 42 (+6). However, the steady hand of Gary Josephson—highlighted by seven pars on the back nine—earned him the win with an 83 (+11). Miles and Elitzky shared second at 84 (+12).

    Division 4
Newcomer Kenneth Grant edged into the back nine with a slim one-shot lead at 45 (+9), just ahead of Robert Haynes and seasoned vet Robert Vespa. In a fierce finish, Grant and Haynes both ended at 88 (+16), forcing a scorecard playoff. Haynes emerged victorious, with Grant taking runner-up honors.

    Division 5
Tyler Warren, fresh off his first win at High Meadow Ranch, kept the momentum alive. His 44 (+8) on the front gave him a two-shot edge over Dallas guest Todd Robello. Despite Todd’s birdie on 12, Warren’s consistent back nine sealed the deal. He finished with an 89 (+17), securing win number two. Robello came in second with a 92 (+20).

    Senior Net Division
The red-hot Darien Duhon wasn’t done—he also claimed the Senior Net title with a sizzling 68 (-4). Robert Vespa followed at 71 (-1), while Alvin Miles and Rick Pritchard shared third at even-par 72.

Congratulations to all the winners! Next up is Wildcat Lakes Course on June 28th
