Willowbrook Golf Club in Manchester was the venue for our golf tournament this past weekend. 90+ competitors battled the Bonnaroo traffic and a little bit of rain, but that did not sour the day. Total prize pool for the tournament was almost $3,600 and trophies for the winners in each division and net competitions. Optional side games totaled $2,100.
In Division 1, a playoff was required to determine the winner. Matt Crowder, from the Tennessee East chapter, and new member Alex Meadors from Portland both posted 2-under rounds of 70 and headed back to the 10th for a playoff. Meadors drove the green and made birdie to capture the win. In 3rd place, Justin Lee from Lebanon and Auburntown’s Cory Henley finished tied at 2-over 74.
In Division 2, Murfreesboro’s Micheal Lynn outlasted the field and wins by one stroke with his 3-over 75. He bested the two players by a stroke: Franklin’s Ken Washington and Erin’s David Barnes both posted 4-over 76 to split the 2nd place prize. Cary Anderson from College Grove shoots 77 and claims 4th place. Gallatin’s Todd Schrock and Nashville’s Jamie Page tied for 5th place with the rounds of 79.
In Division 3, Lewisburg’s Bryan Harwell ran away and hid from the field and easily secured victory with his great round of 1-over 73. 2nd place went to Kaleb Wilson from Portland who shot 7-over 79. Alex Richardson from Dickson takes 3rd place with his 10-over 82. Chaucey Fuller from Nashville and Don Weiss from Dickson tie for 4th place at 13-over 85.
In Division 4, Franklin’s Raul Gallegos gets the win by 2 strokes with his round of 12-over 84. Bruce Gordon, also hailing from Franklin, takes 2nd place with 14-over 86.
In Division 5, guest Matt Holloway from Franklin posts +19 round of 91 to win over Winfield, AL Cody Doles, who posted +22 94. By rule, guests are only allowed to receive membership as a prize. Welcome to the APT! Bon Aqua’s Daniel Beasley finishes in 3rd place with his round of 95.
In Open Net, Division 3’s Alex Richardson makes it two-in-a-row with a one stroke win with his NET round of +2.
In Senior Net, Bryan Harwell (Division 3) takes advantage of his excellent play and wins the competition at 8-under NET. Division 2’s Cary Anderson takes 2nd with a NET 2-under. Division 1’s Neil Master from Nashville claims 3rd place with his EVEN par NET round.
