“Champions Crowned at Eagle Ridge: NJ/Philly Local Finals”

On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, the stage was set at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, NJ for the New Jersey/Philadelphia Local Finals of the Amateur Players Tour. A field of 38 competitors teed it up with more than just pride on the line—Event Divisional Titles, crucial points, and the ultimate honors of Divisions, Open Net, and Senior Net Player of the Year were all at stake.

Players opened their rounds on the Pines Course, a tree-lined, shot-maker’s track that demands accuracy and patience. Early morning showers soaked the fairways, creating a challenging start, but Eagle Ridge’s conditions held strong. As the skies cleared, competitors made their way onto the Links Course, a wide-open, windswept layout that invites bold play and rewards aggressive shot-making. The contrast between the tight, wooded Pines and the expansive, strategic Links tested every facet of each player’s game.

In Division 1, The Division 1 field faced a tough test on a demanding layout, stretched to 6,647 yards. Rising to the challenge, Trevor DuBoff claimed his first Amateur Players Tour victory in style, capturing the D1 title at our 2025 season finale with a winning score of +10 (82).

In Division 2, Division 2 featured a competitive field of nine players, many of whom were fighting for critical points—either to lock up the 2025 New Jersey/Philadelphia Division 2 Player of the Year title or to strengthen their position in the race for the North American Championships. The competition was razor-thin, with just six points separating the leader from sixth place. The spotlight ultimately fell on Peter Iosso and John Willadsen, who went head-to-head in a thrilling battle. Peter posted a solid +8 (80), but John answered with an impressive +6 (78) to secure the victory. Right behind our two front-runners, Central PA Chapter’s Rocky Dare and Ian Farley finished tied for third, each carding a +9 (81) to round out the leaderboard.
