Florida Gulf Coast’s third tournament was an exciting and challenging event with our biggest field yet. Despite the tough conditions, with temperatures under 50°F and a strong wind, the players seemed to handle the course well. The tournament was held on the Cypress to Marsh course rotation as the Lakes course has just been renovated with new greens.
Gabe Gray’s impressive performance with 2 net eagles and 3 birdies showed his skill and adaptability, but Coleman Fleming’s ability to stay competitive, including a couple of eagles of his own, made for a thrilling finish. The fact that both players ended up tied at 35 points speaks to how closely matched they were, and it was intense watching them battle it out in the sudden death playoff. Coleman securing the win with a bogey on the 18th in the playoff adds another level of drama to the result!
Overall, it was another memorable event for Florida Gulf Coast Chapter.
