Veenstra, Katz, Franco, and Green Shine at Elevated Event at The Reserve
The Reserve Vineyard & Golf Club – South Course
On Saturday, July 12, the Portland Chapter hosted an Elevated tournament at The Reserve Vineyard & Golf Club – South Course, as 26 golfers fought for top spots in one of the Portland Chapter’s most competitive events of the season.
In Division 2, Rolf Veenstra came out firing with a strong +1 on the front nine, taking an early lead he would hold onto for the rest of the day, eventually winning his division by three strokes with a final score of +5 (77).
Over in Division 3, Tristan Katz separated himself from the field by three shots, thanks in large part to his impressive par-3 play, which included a birdie on hole 11, a highlight that also earned him a skin.
Division 4 saw a tight battle as Gene Franco edged out a trio of competitors tied for second place, closing the round with a solid +2 over the final seven holes to secure victory at +11 (83).
Meanwhile, in Division 5, Jeffrey Green dominated the leaderboard, finishing an astonishing 12 strokes ahead of the runner-up with a final score of +17 (89).
The Open Net Division featured a blazing start from Prabhakar Lama, who eagled the first hole and maintained his momentum throughout, finishing at -1 (71) to claim top honors.
In the Senior Net Division, Jeffery Green outpaced the field with a stellar -5 back nine, finishing at -5 (67) to secure the win, while Gene Franco also turned in an under-par round.

Four players had huge days, each clearing the $200 mark:
- Jeffery Green – $280 total (Senior Net Champion, Division 5 Champion, multiple skins)
- Prabhakar Lama – $240 total (Open Net Champion, Division 2/3 and Super Skins winner)
- Rolf Veenstra – $215 total (Division 2 Champion, multiple skins including a Super Skin)
- Tristan Katz – $210 total (Division 3 Champion, skins and Super Skins winner)
