Tournament Champions
After a month-long break from its last tournament, the Charleston Amateur Players Tour returned in fine fashion this past weekend, as golfers enjoyed the beauty and challenge of Santee National Golf Club.
The weekend of golf treated competitors to the majestic rolling hills and mossy oaks, mixed with Loblolly pines at Santee National. Designed by Porter Gibson and built in 1989, the 18-hole championship, par 72 course features Bermuda fairways, Champion ‘Ultradwarf’ Bermuda greens, and bunkers filled with crystal white sands.
With 40 bunkers and five water hazards, players of all skill levels will find the challenge a rewarding one. Southern hospitality, a friendly layout, and consistent course conditions are just a few of the reasons why Santee National Golf Club has become one of the most popular golf courses in Santee and the surrounding area.
The Charleston Amateur Players Tour travels the Lowcountry of South Carolina, offering golfers of all skill levels a chance to compete in one of ten different divisions. This past weekend, more than $4,200 was up for grabs in cash and VISA gift card prizes.
Designed by the players, for the players, the Charleston Amateur Players Tour strives to provide a world-class experience for all its competitors.
