East TN hosted the 2025 season fall opener at WindRiver Golf in Lenoir City, TN. After a year away, we were welcomed back to a wonderful venue with a brand new beautiful clubhouse and a very pleasant fall forecast of sunshine.
Division 1 had all three players within 1 stroke after nine holes and it was exciting to watch. Matt Crowder (guest… and now newest member) shot the better back nine and took home the trophy.
Division 2 had several players going neck and neck. Anthony Stout led after 9 holes with a 37, with Mike Wilkins and Nashville’s Colm Murphy at 39. But after Mother Nature showed up with some unexpected rain for the back 9, it was Nashville’s Christopher Randolph that played the best back nine and took the win with a final score of 79. Both Stout and Murphy finished second one stroke behind with 80’s.
Division 3 – Brad Carr shot a solid 80 after just returning to the Tour to take the trophy and prize. Second place was a closer contest that had Maximillian Morris (87) edging out new member Gene Christian (88).
Division 4 required a playoff to determine a winner. Rodney Oden and Tyke Stogsdill both shot 91 in the rain – tied after regulation. Stogsdill won the playoff, and tied for third place were Bo Watson and Jeff Looney only one shot back.
Division 5 Nashville’s David McDow still in good form after his win in Muscle Shoals, had a wonderful front nine and held on for the win with a 95 over Tony Williams (96).
Senior net was also won by Nashville’s Christoper Randolph taking the win with a NET +2 final score of 74.
