Birmingham Closes Out the 2026 Local Season at Limestone Springs

The Birmingham chapter brought the 2026 local season to a close at Limestone Springs Golf Course, with one final day of competition and plenty still to play for across every division. The Local Finals gave players one last opportunity to add a win to the season, earn points toward the final Player of the Year standings, and finish the year on a high note.

From another win in a dominant Division 1 run to a pair of double-dip performances, the Birmingham season finale delivered plenty of strong golf.

    Division 1

Max Faure wasn’t ready to give up his spot at the top just yet. Faure fired a one-under 71 to capture his fifth consecutive victory, continuing an impressive run to close out the season.

Chase Romanstine kept the pressure on and finished just two shots back with a one-over 73 to take second place. Kevin Schrum and Lamar Adams followed at 74.

    Division 2

Karl Jung finished his local season with another trip to the winner’s circle, carding a four-over 76 to earn his second victory of the season.

Bobby Knight turned in a solid 78 to claim second place, while Greyson Howard finished third with a 79. Lucas McCullar followed with an 80.

    Division 3

Rusty Martin added another trophy to an already strong 2026 campaign. Martin posted an 82 at Limestone Springs to earn his fifth victory of the season.

Jerry Pierce finished three shots back with an 85 to take second, while David Sides rounded out the top three with an 89.

    Division 4

Brian Sanders closed out the season with another win, shooting an 84 to capture his fourth victory of 2026.

Kenneth Robbins took runner-up honors with a 92, while Mike Templeton and Herman Bell tied for third at 94.

    Division 5

Tim Harbin saved one of his best performances for the Local Finals. Harbin carded an 82 to take the Division 5 title and earn his fourth victory of the season.

Matthew Lowery finished second with a 94, followed by Todd Gober in third.

    Mid-Am Net

Harbin wasn’t finished after collecting the Division 5 trophy. He posted a net 64, eight-under par, to complete the double dip and take home the Mid-Am Net title as well.

Karl Jung added another strong finish to his day, taking second at two-under 70, while Kevin Schrum finished third with an even-par 72.

    Senior Net

Bobby Knight picked up his first hardware of the season by capturing the Senior Net title with a two-under 70.

Brian Sanders nearly completed a double dip of his own, finishing just one shot behind Knight with a one-under 71 to take second. Jeff Taylor rounded out the top three with a 74.

    That’s a Wrap on Birmingham

The Local Finals put a cap on another season of APT Birmingham golf, with five division champions and two net champions adding one final trophy to their 2026 campaigns.

Congratulations to all of our winners at Limestone Springs and thank you to every player who teed it up with the Birmingham chapter throughout the season. With the local schedule complete, all eyes now turn to the final Player of the Year standings and the North American Championship.
