Tournament Champions
It was a cold and windy day for our Drumm Farm Fall Kickoff event! Thank you to all of the members that braved the weather and light rain throughout the day! With 64 players, we had great competition in every division to kickstart our 2026 season.
In Division 1, newcomer Chris Clark and 2025 Champion Kory Glasgow and Garrett Wilson traded barbs throughout the day. With an impressive +1 through 9 for Kory and Chris and +3 for Garrett, the back 9 was anyone’s game. Alas that was until hole 18 and a wicked pin placement decided the competition. With a birdie on 18, Kory took a one stroke lead from Chris to win his 8th consecutive title in KC!
In Division 2, the leaderboard changed a dozen times throughout the day. Austin Perry, Jimmy Smelcer, Eric Brown and Sheckey Hart all had their moment at the top. The back nine proved to be more of a challenge for some players and it all came down to hole 18 to potentially force a playoff. Congratulations to Austin Perry on his first win with APT, earning himself a 2026 membership!
In Division 3, newcomer Ian Jones, longtime player John Bilek and Sam Kivett were all atop the leaderboard. With ever changing weather conditions, they all held it together to shoot some incredible rounds. Sam drained a 40ft birdie, down a steep ridge on 18 to post an 83. With Ian and John a few strokes ahead anything could’ve happened down the stretch. But they held it together to force our first playoff of the day! It only took one hole for Ian to claim a win but I have to give a shoutout to John Bilek for an incredible performance his first event in division 3 after a self-promotion! Congrats again to Ian and your well earned membership to 2026!
In Division 4 it was purely a contest between Darrick Kimberlin and David Stober. Both players had solid front 9 scores at 38 and 40 respectively. The back nine presented a few more challenges but David held it together and didn’t post a single score above a bogey. But it was Darrick who continued his excellent play to score not only his lowest round to date, but take home his second consecutive win on APT! He also tied for our Senior Net competition, splitting his winnings with Marcus Swinson Jr!
In Division 5 we had a battle between two veteran players. Keegan Jerabek led the front nine with a 44, with Marcus Swinson Jr. just a few shots behind at a 47. As our last groups to finish the event any one hole could have swayed the results. Keegan struggled with a double on 15 and 18 to post an 87 for the day. Marcus stayed consistent, and despite a triple on 13, he recovered with all pars and a single bogey through 18 to card an 88, his best round on APT to date! Although it wasn’t quite enough to take the win, Marcus did tie for 1st in our Senior Net challenge! Congratulations to Keegan on his 3rd win with APT and for taking home the first win of the new Mid-Am Net challenge.
