Tournament Champions
Thirty-five APT Tulsa players were greeted with perfect golf weather at Indian Springs on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The Lakes Course at The Club at Indian Springs was in outstanding condition, providing an ideal setting for the opening points event of the 2026 season. With tight, tree-lined fairways and thick Bermuda rough, this shorter course proved to be a tough challenge for all competitors.
Division 1:
In a thrilling finish, Cole Cramer of Mannford, Oklahoma, and Collin New of Rogers, Arkansas, tied after 18 holes, forcing the season’s first playoff. New, a recent winner at The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge, and Cramer, who narrowly lost in a playoff at Bailey Ranch to TJ Eckert, battled through the second playoff hole. Cramer ultimately emerged victorious, securing his first win with APT Tulsa.
Division 2:
The battle in Division 2 was intense all day, featuring stellar golf from course superintendent David Jones, Tom Lorenz, Dennis Joyce, and Tulsa Director Mark Brailey. Lorenz made a late surge with long-range birdies at holes 16 and 17, sealing his first victory of the season. Brailey narrowly edged out Jones for second place, finishing just two strokes behind Lorenz.
Division 3:
Another fiercely contested division saw David Snow return to APT Tulsa after a shoulder surgery hiatus. He faced strong competition from David Eslinger and Todd Humble of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Snow built a late two-shot cushion and held on for a one-shot victory over Eslinger and Humble.
Division 4:
Thawng Hatzaw of Jenks, Oklahoma, made his presence felt once again, narrowly holding off a spirited challenge from Khurram Pervaiz of Broken Arrow to start the season with a win. Pervaiz finished second in a competitive division.
Division 5:
Steve Lumpkin of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, rebounded from a disappointing outing at Shangri-La that cost him the D5 Player of the Year title. Playing solid, confident golf, he held off Robert Tyndall of the OKC Chapter by just a single stroke, showcasing the grit and determination of a true champion.
Senior Net:
The Senior Net division was split between Tom Lorenz of Heath, Texas, and David Jones of Broken Arrow. Lorenz claimed the trophy with a spectacular back nine score of 37.
Mid Am Net:
Nineteen-year-old Connor Boyd made an impressive debut in the newly created Mid Am Net division, winning by a commanding 8 shots — his first victory of 2026.
The APT Tulsa Chapter sincerely thanks Indian Springs Head Professional Lance Allen, General Manager Tyler Yoak, Assistant Pro Max Kazarian, and everyone involved for their warm hospitality and support, making this a truly enjoyable experience at The Club at Indian Springs.
Looking ahead, the chapter is excited to move on to Meadowbrook Country Club for our final fall event on November 1st.
