The Charleston Amateur Players Tour kicked off the new 2026 calendar year in style with the annual Icebreaker elevated event held in Hilton Head, SC.

Competitors began the weekend of golf on Saturday with a round at the George Fazio course at Palmetto Dunes. With just two par-fives on the course, the front nine features open, tree-lined fairways and the back nine becomes tighter and more severe. Last year, the course received the “Travelers’ Choice” Award from TripAdvisor.

Sunday’s final round unfolded on the Arthur Hills course. This 18-hole championship layout has hosted major college golf tournaments in the past, with competitors such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and David Duval in the field. The Aurthur Hills course was awarded as the 2023 “Travelers’ Choice” by TripAdvisor.

The Charleston Amateur Players Tour travels the Lowcountry of South Carolina, offering golfers of all skill levels a chance to compete in one of five different divisions. The tour also gives competitors a chance to play exclusive courses, creating a world-class golf experience. Each tournament, the tour pays out cash and VISA gift card prizes to division winners and also has an optional cash skins game each week.
