After a wet start to the 2023 Season, The Arkansas Chapter Found sunny skies and warm Temps at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado Arkansas. The course was in fantastic shape, and we were off the path for the first time all year! With the introduction to the Senior Net game for players 50 years old and up. This was a huge Success; everyone seems to love the new Senior Net game. Mystic Creek Golf Club proves to be the #1 course you can play in Arkansas once again!
In Division 1:
Max Faure would post a total score of 77 to become the Division 1 Champ at Mystic Creek. McKay Hugentobler would post a score of 91 to finish in second place.
In Division 2:
Kendall Price would post a total score of 91 to become the Division 2 Champ at Mystic Creek. Gabe Doster Would post a total score of 94 to finish in second place.
In Division 3:
Elisha Payne would post a total score of 84 to become the Division 3 Champ at Mystic Creek, giving Elisha Payne his second Win of the 2023 season. Kaden Owens would post a total score of 89 to take second place in Division 3. Donnie Penney would post a total score of 95 to take third place in Division 3.
In Division 4:
This Division was too close to call as they all where with in a shot to two shot from each other with two holes to play the monster par 5 # 18 would set the tone. As Mark Helms was sitting out front with the lead (+23) for the day, Jeff Corder and Jon Nutt where Not letting off the gas! The pressure was on for Division 4. Mark would take a triple at the last hole to finish with a total score of (98). Jeff Corder would make a bogey on the last hole to post a total score of (99) and Jon Nutt would make a par to post a total score of (98). Mark Helms and Jon Nutt would head back out to #1 to play it off for the Win. Mark would have trouble off the tee gave Jon Nutt the advantage he needed to find him self holding the Trophy as Division 4 Champion at Mystic Creek.
In Division 5:
Jordan Kimbriel would post a total score of 99 to secure his first win of the 2023 season. Travis Kimbriel would post a total score of 104 to take second place in Division 5. Chad Hatfield would post a total score of 105 to take home third place in Division 5.
Senior Net:
The Senior Net game was causing commotion in the club house as Donnie Penney was in with his total net score of 81 and his fait was in the hands of Travis Kimbriel as he headed to #18 needing to make par to secure the win. Travis would make a double bogey on the last hole to finish one behind Donnie Penney.
