Falcon Lakes Results

What a great first event for the KC APT! 67 players took on Falcon Lakes Golf Club in some pretty serious wind today. Despite the tough conditions, our groups finished in 4.5hrs or less. Thank you to everyone who played and kept up the pace today!

Steve Pope, Jacob Bruhn, Garrett Routh, and Larry Langley battled it out for top spot today in Division 1. It came down to a sudden death playoff between Pope and Bruhn. Jacob bombed a tee shot on the par 5 first hole leaving a mid iron into the green, but landed on top of the hill just left of the green leaving a near impossible chip, and settled for a par. Steve played a great layup, stuck the approach, and sunk the birdie to take a win in his first event!

In Division 2, Garrett Wilson played lights out in the wind, besting the field today by shooting a blistering 75! Garrett started in good form towards the end of last year and is picking up where left off, with a comfortable victory today, with Thomas Aguilar of TruAim indoor golf taking second.

Grant Scarfino records his first tournament victory by carding a great score of 81. Tyler Reynolds had a one shot lead over Grant with a few holes to play, with Grant already in the clubhouse. A couple untimely bogies for Tyler sealed the victory for Grant.

Nate Simler had a runaway victory in D4 today, with an impressive 83, besting Cory Brandenburg by 3 strokes. Nate is on a roll, with 3 event wins in a row!

First time Zach Terry and Rocky Metcalfe battled it out in D5, but ultimately Zach kept the steady golf and prevailed. Rocky had a bumpy front 9 but played solid on the back, just couldn't close the gap on Zach.
