Trevor Foy took top honors today in Division 1, with an even par round of 71. Excellent putting all day with some tough pin locations, propelled Trevor to a 1 shot victory over tour newcomer Jordan Duncan. Points leader Jerod Ewing took 3rd. Congrats Trevor on your first win of the season and kudos to Jordan on an excellent round in your debut.
Garrett Kiser pulled away late to win division 2 by 4 shots with a round of 76 (+5) over another tour newcomer Dexter Moore. Brandon Thompson came home 3rd. Congrats to Garrett on his first win of the season. He’s been in contention all season and finally broke through with the win today. Nice round to Dexter in his debut with a respectable showing. Division 2 has been very competitive all season, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Keep up the great golf D2 and work your way towards a promotion to D1.
Chuck Bays continues a season long trend of Kentucky players coming to the mountain state and bringing home the hardware! Chuck shot an impressive 75 (+4) to take Division 3 by 5 shots over last weeks winner, Claytina Shepherd. Chuck also took the senior net title with a -14 under par 57. Wayne Mills finished 3rd. Division 3 newcomer (after his promotion last week), Matt Robinson made his debut to his new division with a respectable 4th place finish. Great job Chuck and thanks for coming down today to play with us. We look forward to having you back again later in the season.
In his farewell to Division 4, Eddie Lilly walks away champion with an absolutely awesome round of 74 (+3)! Visiting from SWVA, Jason Mitcham comes home 2nd, 6 shots off the pace. Dave Shepperd finished 3rd. Special thanks to Wayne-O Bishop for coming up from NC this morning to play with us today. He finished 4th and stuck around until everyone was finished to chat and meet everyone. Very cool dude and a class act. Hope to have you back in WV again. Congrats again Eddie and best of luck in Division 3 next week at Pipestem for our annual Memorial Day weekend event. Keep up the good work!
The best dressed man on tour, Joey Fyall took the trophy today to capture top honors in Division 5 with an 85 (+14). Joey came from behind down the stretch to win by 5 over Marshall Kiser. Charles Belcher, Kevin Long, and making her tour debut, Linda Ewing came home all tied for 3rd. Great job Joey on the 1st win of the season! Great playing today and we’ll see you at Pipestem next week to see if you can make it back to back.
