This past Saturday, APT Nashville competed at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, TN. This tournament served as our last elevated event of the ’25 season as points were worth double. 76 players battled to garner as many points as they could to position themselves for the upcoming Local Finals when our Player of the Year, season-long competition concludes. Close to $4,000 was paid out to our highest finishers in our division and net competitions, in addition to, over $2,200 paid out in skins games, closest-to-the-pin & net fourball competitions.

In Division 1, two players finished under par: Summit, MS Jonathon Newman takes 2nd place with his round of two-under 70. Taking 1st place, on an injured left knee and scoring a bogey-free round of three-under 69 was Burns’ Matt Mitchell.

In Division 2, which was our largest field of the tournament, Memphis chapter’s Tommy Warren shoots even par to become the champion by two strokes over Nashville’s Terence Harris. Another Memphis chapter member, Jeff Avant, finishes in-the-money in 3rd place with a round of 75. An inordinate number of players finished in a tie for 4th place.  All finished at 77: Clarksville’s Lee Busey, Smyrna’s Eric Fleming, Pegram’s Caleb Cart, Clarksville’s Jeff Carnacchi, Fairview’s David Pennington and Nashville’s Christopher Bernosky.

In Division 3, two players finished at-the-top with rounds of 76: Brentwood’s Will Houston and Charlotte’s Madison Murphy. An on-course playoff was not needed as Houston was not available to compete. Murphy takes the 1st place prize and trophy. Lewisburg’s Bryan Harwell posts 81 and takes home the 3rd place prize.

In Division 4, Nolensville’s Wade Williams had to wait until the last of hole played by the division to claim the 1st place prize. Williams posted 82 to best two other players: Franklin’s Alex Garcia and East Tennessee member, Tyke Stogsdill. Both players finished at 83.

In Division 5, Charlotte’s Jimmy Murphy wins by three strokes with his round of 86. He best Franklin’s John Schirmer and his round of 89.

In Open Net, Division 3’s Madison Murphy posts net 68 to best fellow Division 3 member, Will Houston’s net 69. Division 2’s Caleb Cart shot net 70 and won the 3rd place prize.

In Senior Net, Division 4’s Wade Williams squeezes out a one-stroke victory with his one-under net round of 71. He bests Division 2’s Eric Fleming and his round of net even par. Clarksville’s Jeff Carnacchi takes 3rd place with net two-over 74.
