Columbus & Cincinnati/Dayton Tours Kick Off 2026 Fall Season in Style at Urbana CC
The Columbus and Cincinnati/Dayton Amateur Players Tours kicked off the 2026 Fall Season in style on October 5th at Urbana Country Club, “The Original Dye Course.” A total of 61 competitors teed it up on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to start the new season!
Division Results
D1:
Reigning 2025 Cincinnati/Dayton D1 Player of the Year Dustin Fields (Xenia, OH) opened his title defense with an impressive +1 (73) to take home the win. Austin Byers (Beavercreek, OH) finished close behind at +2, while Troy Boswell (Reynoldsburg, OH) rounded out the top three at +4.
D2:
Rob Braun (Alexandria, KY) fired a solid +3 (75) to claim first place, followed by Parv Soulati (Fairborn, OH) at +4, and Michael Marinangeli (Grove City, OH) — the defending Columbus D2 Player of the Year — finishing third.
D3:
Making his Tour debut, Bradley Secrest put the field on notice with a dominant +5 (77) to win by eight shots in a strong field of 14. Brad Blackmore (Montgomery, OH) and fellow newcomer Jeremy Roush (Coolville, OH) tied for second at +13.
D4:
Bert Bathiany (Ft. Thomas, KY) made the trip across the river worthwhile, posting a +12 to take the victory. Local standout Steve Smith (Mechanicsburg, OH) finished second at +14, and Paul Rovnak (Poland, OH) rounded out the podium at +15.
D5:
Aaron Holman (Newark, OH) kicked off his season strong with a +18, earning a six-shot victory over Tyler Philo (Beavercreek, OH). Doc Sherman (Pleasant City, OH) finished third at +25.
Net Divisions
Mid-Am Net:
Rob Braun doubled up, capturing the Mid-Am Net title, with Tyler Philo in second and Kurt Schmidt (Delaware, OH) in third.
Senior Net:
Parv Soulati edged out Steve Smith in a scorecard playoff to claim the Senior Net trophy. Troy Boswell and Michael Marinangeli tied for third.
Payouts & Appreciation
Over $2,400 in prize money and trophies were awarded on Sunday!
Both Danny Bay and Kasey Dickenson would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Bill Unger, the staff, and the members of Urbana CC — the course was in fantastic shape, the hospitality was second to none, and it was the perfect venue to launch the fall season.
