The Minnesota Chapter returned to one of the state’s premier public golf courses on Sunday,
August 2, as players teed it up at the historic Keller Golf Course in Maplewood. With
outstanding weather, a beautifully conditioned golf course, and another strong field of
competitors, the stage was set for a fantastic day of championship golf.

Division 1 featured the lowest gross score of the tournament as Jackson Goerges claimed the
title with a 2-over 74. After making the turn at 39, Goerges caught fire on the back nine with
consecutive birdies on holes 13 and 14, pulling away from the field to earn a three-shot victory
over Owen Mickschl and Justin Fodor, who tied for second at 77.

The drama belonged to Division 2, where Mike Dalton and Jake McNulty battled all afternoon
before finishing tied at 81. With the championship heading to a playoff, Dalton came through in
the extra hole to capture the Division 2 title. Ian Walesch remained in contention until the final
holes, finishing just one stroke back at 82.

Division 3 produced another exciting finish. Samuel Sanchez opened his round with a birdie
and built an early advantage before weathering a challenging back nine to hold off David
Nicoson by a single stroke, 81-82. Austin Callahan rounded out the top three after battling
through an eventful round of his own.

In Division 4, Ted Chapman put together one of the steadiest performances of the day.
Avoiding any major mistakes, Chapman posted an 86 to secure an eight-shot victory over
    Denver Chapter member Russell Finch.

Division 5 saw Cody Watkins stay persistent throughout Keller’s demanding layout, earning
the division championship with a 103 and finishing 14 shots clear of Chase Rogness.

The specialty competitions added even more excitement to the day. Mike Dalton completed an
impressive double by adding the Senior Net Championship to his Division 2 victory, while
Thomas Boyd represented the Central Illinois Chapter with a runner-up finish. In the Mid-Am
Net, Leo Stepan earned top honors with a net 74, edging Brett Mathiowetz by a single stroke.
A huge thank you goes out to the entire staff at Keller Golf Course for their hospitality and for
providing an outstanding championship venue. We also want to thank all of our players for
another great event and for continuing to make the Minnesota Chapter one of the best places to
    compete.

Congratulations to all of our champions!
