Bermuda Run East welcomed 48 players from several chapters across the country.
In Division 1 became a 3 players race coming down the stretch. Wall Love posted early in the day with a 74(+2). The other players involved in the race was Ivan Jones and new player Jeremy Ray. Jones and Ray played tug-a-war on the back nine. Ray played just good enough to come away with the victory today over Jones. Ray shot 72(E) to win by over Ivan Jones 73(+1).
In Division 2 we had another tight battle today there were 4-5 players with a chance to win today. Adam Firestone comes in early with a 79(+7). The number was set for the players to chase from there. Shortly after that score was posted Juan Sedano comes just short with a score of 80(+8) and Brandon Mabe with a score of 81(+9). There was still one more players out on the course that could make a run a the numbers posted but all came up short. Firestone hangs on for the victory.
In Division 3 we had good battle between Justin Boyd and Mike Cherry. Cherry stay in control pretty much for most part of the day as Boyd tried to reel him in. Boyd finished with a score of 84(+12) falling short of Mike Cherry stellar 81(+9) to secure the victory which I believe is his second of year. The victory has Cherry in the hunt for local player of the year.
In Division 4 was probably our most impressive result of the day. Terry Lunsford of Winston-Salem,NC was playing at his home course today, And the on the course knowledge paid off for Lunsford with a score of 80(+8) to win the event by 7 shots. In second place Christy McCauley scores a 87(+15) picking up some critical points for player of the year race(National and Local). Lunsford scores has propelled him to Division 3 for his coming events. Congratulations for the win and promotion.
In Division 5 we had another tight race between Keith Thomas and Gene Merchant. The players were just groups between each other and scores seem to be going back and forth. Merchant comes out on top by 1 of Thomas with a score of 95(+23). Thomas scores 96(+24)
