The Phoenix APT could not have asked for a more scenic and fantastic venue, Seven Canyons was exactly what we expected and more.
D1 winner Johnny Hernandez finished with an amazing 2 over par and was the clubhouse leader as he waited for Jason Vega to finish his round. Jason was 1 back with the 245 yard par 3 left to play, Jason would proceed to make a mind boggling 30 foot slider to tie for the lead. John would eventually hold Jason off on the 1st playoff hole for his 2nd APT win. CONGRATS JOHN.
D2 winner Kyle Snider had an amazing back 9 shooting 2 under par to tie for the lead with clubhouse Jason Scillieri, Kyle would proceed to win on the second playoff hole. Congratulations on your first APT victory Kyle.
D3 was decided by 1 stroke by newcomer Tony Garcia SR over the always cool Richard "dick" Colt. Great playing by both these players on a very tough venue. Congrats on your victory Tony we will see you at WE-KO-PA.
D4 winner Martin Dimas started off steady with a few hiccups throughout the round but pulled it together to hold off the charging Donna Brown. Congrats on your 3rd win Martin.
D5 winner Jadon Solomon dominated for his 3rd victory on the APT. He is now getting battlefield promoted due to showmanship, he has shown that handicaps don't show what you can do when you have the desire to win. Congrats on your promotion and your victory Jadon!
The Phoenix APT wants to thank all of the competitors for coming out and battling at what we think is one of the best courses in AZ. The greens were only at 90% healed after they punched but the views and the course itself were enough to jaw drop any golf fan. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you all at the fantastic WE-KO-PA father's day weekend.
