Division 1-Ed McDugle with a 5 over par 77.
Division 2- With a birdie on number one followed by bogeys on 2 and three, Fidel Diaz from there pared his way to number fifteen where back-to-back birdies on 15 and 16 put him at one under par bettering Tommy Warren’s score of 75 where he eagled number 15 on his way to second place.
Division 3- William Frogge and David Foshee were tied at one over par through nine. David’s consistency, paring all but one, on the back nine helped him take the lead with a final of 2 over par 74. William Frogge finished in second with a 78.
Division 4- Tim Western and Darrin Howard both played solidly all day but, in the end, it came down to Tim Western’s double bogey on 18 giving Darrin Howard his first Amateur Player’s Tour victory. Darrin shot a 7 over par 79 for his career best, for a one-shot victory over Tim.
Division 5 added another first time APT winner with Brian Nabors. Brian was one shot off Vince Vaghela’s 45 at the turn but put up a strong 4 over 40 on the back, forcing Vince to wait it out in the clubhouse to see if a play-off was necessary. In the end Brian’s 86 was good enough for a 2-shot victory.
We anticipate a few promotions after this week’s low scores. Congratulations to all for posting great numbers this week.
