Columbus / Cincinnati / Kentucky Chapters Tee It Up at TPC Rivers Bend

The Columbus, Cincinnati, and Kentucky Chapters of the Amateur Players Tour came together for an outstanding joint event at the beautiful TPC Rivers Bend. Just four weeks removed from hosting the LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship, the course was in phenomenal condition — with fast greens, lush fairways, and thick rough that challenged the entire 88-player field from start to finish.

    Open Division

    Division 1

It’s back-to-back wins for Dustin Fields (Xenia, OH), who posted a solid +1 (73) to kick off the 2026 season. With four holes to play, six players were within two shots and four shared the lead — but Fields once again closed strong to capture the victory in the 19-player field.
2nd: Ben Palmer (Parkersburg, WV) +2
3rd: Josh Earnest (Lawrenceburg, KY) +4
T4: Eric King (Lexington, KY) +5 and Austin Byers (Beavercreek, OH) +5

    Division 2

In Division 2, 20 players battled through tough conditions and 18 holes weren’t enough to decide it. Blake Smith (Lancaster, OH) and Joshua Turich (Dayton, OH) both finished at +5 (77), forcing a playoff. On the first extra hole, Smith prevailed to earn his first win of the season.
3rd: Matt Walters (Frankfort, KY) +6
4th: Merlin Yoder (Dalton, OH) +9
5th: Parv Soulati (Fairborn, OH) +11

    Division 3

Fresh off a runner-up finish at Urbana CC, Jeremy Roush (Coolville, OH) continued his strong play, firing a steady round that included a +1 front nine to cruise to a 3-shot victory over Ian Copperthite (Georgetown, KY).
    2nd: Copperthite +12
T3: Randy Stambaugh (Louisville, KY) +13 and Clay Euton (Georgetown, KY) +13
5th: Joseph Giordano (Cincinnati, OH) +14

    Division 4

Xavier Harbin (Shepherdsville, KY) made the most of his day off from school, posting +18 to top the 13-player field and secure his first APT victory.
2nd: Don Hubbard (Independence, KY) +20
T3: Chris Berry (Carroll, OH) +21 & Jason Earnest (Lawrenceburg, KY) +21,

T5: Bert Bathiany (Fort Thomas, KY) +22, Bruce Myers (South Charleston, WV) +22

    Division 5

Ryan Darling (Pataskala, OH) earned his 2nd career APT win, narrowly holding off Doc Sherman (Pleasant City, OH) by one stroke in a close 13-player field.
3rd: John Lint (West Lafayette, OH) +29
4th: John Giblin (Louisville, OH) +30
5th: Ian Lilburn (Columbus, OH) +32

    Net Divisions

In the Mid-Am Net, Zach Walker (Bellefontaine, OH) continued his hot streak — capturing his 2nd win in 3 events after a scorecard playoff over Kevin Pierce (Columbus, OH) in the 11-player field. The extra $30 entry is proving worthwhile, with solid payouts across all net divisions.

In the Senior Net, $260 was up for grabs for 1st place in a 28-player field, and Braden Powers (Loveland, OH) claimed a 2-shot victory over Clay Euton (Georgetown, KY), Ryan Darling (Pataskala, OH), Doc Sherman (Pleasant City, OH), and Troy Boswell (Reynoldsburg, OH).

Over $2,700 in prize money and trophies were awarded at TPC Rivers Bend.

Both Danny Bay and Kasey Dickenson would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff and members of TPC Rivers Bend — the course was immaculate, the hospitality outstanding, and the experience was everything players expect from a TPC venue.

A huge thank-you to all competitors who came out and made it another memorable APT event.
The APT truly lives by its motto:
“By the Players, For the Players.”
