The Upstate SC Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour held its fourth tournament of the season at scenic Connestee Falls GC in Brevard, NC. The golf course was full of mountain views and the natural beauty of deer in the wild was enjoyed by all. Course conditions was great, and the staff was very fantastic.
In Division 1, we had 10 players compete for the Championship. Matthew Moore (Greer, SC) used an almost double eagle to propel to the win. Matthew finished the round with a solid 75. Second place was claimed by Jon Wood (Asheville, NC) with a 77.

In Division 2, Bobby Reem (Greenville, SC) was able to hold off AJ Bolin (Gaffney, SC) in a two hole playoff to determine the Championship. Both players shot a six over par round (78). Finishing in third place was Phil Vangeersdaelen (Huntersville, NC) with an 82.

In Division 3 we had 13 players battle in a quest to become a Champion. Jim Winginton (Greer, SC) used a very strong 34 on the front nine to shoot 77 and claim the championship. Mary Graham-Forrest (Shelby, NC) fired an impressive 80 with nothing over a bogey on her card to claim second place. There was a tie for third place between Dan Ahlers (Denver, NC) and William Buie (Greenville, SC) with 82’s.

In Division 4, Gregg Pruitt (Roebuck, SC) kept his momentum going and shot an impressive 84 to claim a five-shot victory. Finishing second was Scott Bryant (Pickens, SC) with a solid 89. Tim Kunkel (Wellford, SC) shot his season low 91 to claim third place.

In Division 5 Kyle Trammel (Flat Rock, NC) was able to secure his first win by firing an impressive 88. Kyle had two birdies on the back nine to help secure the victory. Finishing in second place was Bradley Perfect-Kerr with a 92.

Senior Net Championship
The Senior Net competition is a new competition for those players 50 years of age or older. Congratulations to William Buie (Greenville, SC) for a two over 74 and his first-place win. Finishing in second place was Frank Wilder (Cashiers, NC) , Phil Vangeersdaelen (Huntersville, NC) and Sonny Smith (Lyman, SC) who tied with 4 over 76’s.
