As most of the country battles the impending doom of snow, the South Florida Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour kicked off their inaugural in Coral Springs, FL with a spirited Stableford event. Participants from NC, SD and FL teed it up in a perfect 70 degree day to take on the Country Club of Coral Springs. After a grueling 18 hole battle Ken Schumas took away the coveted Hardware and was able to take the first champions picture with Frankie the Flamingo joining the up and coming Eliot group of Frankie’s Flock. The South Florida Chapter’s next event is the SOLD OUT with a 72 player field at the Celebration Golf Club where the best Amateurs the country have to offer will compete in the Celebration Challenge. Who will be the next to join Frankie’s Flock? Congrats to all the competitor’s at the Country Club of Coral Springs Classic and we look forward to hosting our members at the next local event at Eagle Trace Golf Club, former host to the Honda Classic and current bi-annual host to the PGA Qualifier.
