The Amateur Players Tour is a national amateur golf tour with chapters across the United States. Each chapter runs a local schedule of professionally administered tournaments, and members can also compete in national majors at elevated venues and in the season-ending North American Championship.

Every event is flighted into five divisions, so you compete against players of your own skill level. The tour is open to any amateur golfer 18 or over – from plus-handicaps to 30-handicaps.

The Amateur Players Tour was founded in 2018. Since then we’ve grown to chapters across the United States and Canada, with a season that runs from October through the following September and culminates in the North American Championship and Senior North American Championship.

The APT currently has 47 chapters across the United States, and we’re still adding markets.

The Amateur Players Tour is operated by APT Events, LLC. Each local chapter is run by a Chapter Owner who manages the schedule, venues, and events in that market. National majors are run by the APT national team.

Competition matters – handicaps, rules, and member conduct – are governed by the APT Competition Committee, chaired by Matt Fegley and made up of three Chapter Owners plus multiple player representatives. The Committee meets weekly, currently on Wednesdays.
