DAN CONSTANTINO

The Amateur Players Tour wrapped up the Myrtle Beach Holiday Classic with two strong rounds of golf at True Blue/Caledonia, where a 124-player field teed it up for a weekend of competitive play. The event moved smoothly across both venues, offering a demanding but fair test of skill that rewarded smart decisions and steady execution.

Between Caledonia’s tight corridors and strategic approach shots and True Blue’s more open layout that still required careful positioning, players were challenged throughout the weekend. Firm but fair conditions and fast greens kept scoring honest across all divisions.

    Division 1

Division 1 saw Dan Constantino (Upstate SC) put together two steady rounds of 75 to finish at +8, leaning on consistency and solid ball-striking to claim his first Division 1 National Major victory. Eric King (Kentucky) stayed within reach all weekend and finished just one shot back at +9, highlighted by a strong closing round. North American Champion Adam Yarbrough(Atlanta) finished third at +15, while Sean Boyle (Myrtle Beach) and Stuart Smith (Charlotte) rounded out a competitive championship flight on courses that left little room for mistakes.

    Division 2

In Division 2, Todd Feuerhaken (St. Louis) set the tone early with an opening-round 74, navigating the challenges of both venues effectively and giving himself manageable looks throughout the weekend. He held on through the final round to finish at +12 for the tournament. Scott Kennedy (Myrtle Beach) made a late push and finished second at +13, with Ray Tricarico’s (Myrtle Beach) steady play over both days earning him third place at +15.

    Division 3

Division 3 produced the weekend’s most dramatic finish. Pat Ryan (Myrtle Beach) and Ian Thomas (Virginia Capital) completed regulation play tied at +25, sending the division to a playoff on the signature par-4 18th hole. Ryan capitalized by sinking a 50-foot putt to make par in the playoff, taking advantage of a scoring opportunity that the course setup rarely gives back. Thomas forced the playoff with a strong second round, while Michael Shirley (Upstate SC) and Dan Sadler (Central Pennsylvania) shared third place at +27 in a tightly contested field.

    Division 4

A strong second round made the difference in Division 4, as Z Zelkowski (Birmingham) followed a first-round 90 with an 82 to finish at +30. The improved score reflected cleaner approaches and better putting across the weekend. National Player of The Year Cody Quattlebaum (Central GA) finished just one shot back at +31, with Linette Coddington (Myrtle Beach) rounding out the top three at +33 after two consistent rounds.

    Division 5

Jan Gamlin (Augusta) captured the Division 5 title with rounds of 91 and 100, staying patient through a demanding setup that tested accuracy and course management. Billy Jones (Carolina Triad) and Rick Pritchard (Houston) tied for second at +59, each grinding out solid performances over the two-day event.

    Mid-Am Net

The Mid-Am Net competition was led by Cody Quattlebaum, who posted net rounds of 71–73 to finish at +2, showing how effective course management paid off at True Blue / Caledonia. Michael Shirley finished second at +4, with Alec Rosales(Utah) taking third at +10 in a close net field.

    Senior Net

Senior Net came down to consistency, and Dan Constantino added a second title to his weekend with an even-par net performance of 70–72. Todd Feuerhaken finished one shot back at +1, followed closely by Scott Kennedy at +2, as several players remained in contention throughout the weekend.

The Amateur Players Tour would like to thank True Blue Golf Club and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club  and their staff for their hospitality and for providing excellent course conditions throughout the weekend. Their support and attention to detail helped make the Myrtle Beach Holiday Classic a memorable stop on the APT schedule.
