The Rocky Mountain Chapter sneaked in one more single-day Saturday competition, the Slyday at Fox Hollow GC, on August 28th, 2021.
Jeff Clifford (76) picked up the win in Division 1, besting newcomer Dagen Ovaitt by four strokes and adding some crucial points in jockeying for position as Pinehurst comes into view.
In Division 2, Jay DeJesus (76) is a repeat winner, using a closing birdie on the 18th hole to win by that single stroke over Alec Rosales (77). Alec took home 2nd place prize money in the ten-man field.
Tom Eveland (79) is a first time winner on the Amateur Players Tour. Shannon Lester (80) made up three strokes over the final three holes, but finished one back in the runner-up position. Newcomer Tim Salisbury (81) rounded out the money line in 3rd place.
Shiv Kumar Subramaniam (90) picked up his second win in a row, which also went to a playoff after a tie with Mark Ingalls (90). With darkness sneaking in, the contest with to the USGA scorecard playoff, with Subramaniam taking home the trophy, 43 to 49.
Jon Burningham (84) also picked up his second win in as many tournaments. Thurman Hornbuckle had his best finish on the APT, taking home 2nd place, but also taking home a division trophy in the D5 NET competition.
Overall CTP winners were Alec Rosales (3), Mark Ingalls (8), Mark Ingalls (12), and Dagan Ovaitt (14). Super Skins were won by Justin Burk x2, Dagen Ovaitt x2, Jeff Clifford x2, Peter Fong, Mark Ingalls, and Michael Hollan.
The shot of the day went to Dillon Patterson, who ACED the par-3 8th hole. Dillon spun back a 9-iron from 156 yards and claims the $500 Hole-In-One contest from the APT National Office!
