We had 36 players tee it up on Saturday on a rain drenched course.
Division 1 had 3 players battling for the number one spot. All 3 players bogeyed the first hole and then Ramsey Kimbrough got hot, he aced the number two-hole 189 par 3 and came back on number 3 519-yard par 5 and threw a dart to 3 feet leaving him a tap in for eagle. Ramsey turned the front 9 at –3 under par 33 leading Anthony Stout by 10 and Chris Bloebaum by 7. Anthony put on a charge and led the field on the back nine holes firing a 1 over par 37. In the end Ramsey took the win shooting a plus 3 over par 75 followed by Anthony Stout at plus 8 over par 80 and Chris Bloebaum plus 10 over par 82.
Division 2 had 9 players. This was the best battles all day with 4 players swapping the lead several times throughout the day. Tommy Sedman, Brett Parish, Lance Fox, Blake Benson and Todd Holmes were all in contention on the front nine holes and then Todd Holmes out played the field on the toughest nine holes shooting a plus 2 over par 39 to finish the day at plus 7 over par 79 to take his first win of the season by two shots over Brett Parish who finished the day at plus 9 over par 81 followed by Lance Fox at plus 10 over par 82 and Blake Benson at plus 12 over par 84.
Division 3 had 9 players. Mitch Ellison took the early lead through the first 13 holes when Mitch encountered some tree trouble on two consecutive holes dropping valuable shots. Rick Collier continued his solid play and took home the hardware for back-to-back wins. Rick shot a plus 12 over par 84 holding off Mace Avison at plus over par 85 followed by a tie between Rickie Shae Keyes and Mitch Ellison at plus 14 over par 86.
Division 4 had 7 players. Scott Heath led the field wire to wire shooting plus 16 over par 88 holding off hard charging Sammy Sedman coming in at a plus 19 over par 91 followed by Jason Anderson plus 20 over par 92 and the two-time winner this year Daniel England just could not get it going today coming in at a plus 21 over par 93.
Division 5 had 9 players. Sean Cawood has been on fire this year. Leading this wire to wire with an impressive 8 shot victory at plus 20 over par 92. Emmett Warner and Chip Kirkland put on a fight but came up short today and ended the day tied for T2 at 28 over par 100. Michael Ridge Sr just could not get it going today and finished the day plus 29 over par 101.
