Village Greens Golf Course Tournament Results

The Upstate SC Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour rolled into the immaculate Village Greens golf club. 54 players showed up and were looking to be the best.  

In Division 1, Eric Johannsen (Upstate) went wire to wire the entire day to end up winning. Led by his eagle on hole number 6, Eric went onto shoot a 4 under 32 on the front nine followed by a 38 on the back. He shot a 2 under par 70 to win by 4. Jesse Kinnunen (Guest) shot a 2 over 74 to secure second place, as Corey Caldwell (Upstate) finished in third place with a 4 over 76.

In Division 2, for the second straight week a playoff was needed to decide the winner. Bobby Ream (Upstate), AJ Lee (Upstate), and Phil Vangeersdaelen (Charlotte) all shot 8 over 80 to end in a tie. On the playoff hole Ream made a birdie as Lee and Vangeersdaelen made pars. Bobby has won two weeks in a row and both by way of playoff.

In Division 3, it was a tight finish at the top as only 1 stroke separated first and second place. Tommy Boyter (Upstate) ended up winning the title shooting a 10 over 82. Right behind him was Troy Millwood (Upstate) who fired an 11 over 83. Rounding out the top 3 was Jake Lancaster (Upstate) with a 14 over 86.

In Division 4, we had a career round as Owen Kinnunen (Guest) fired a career best 5 over 77. Owen threw darts all day to hard pin placements. Harold Heath (Charleston) and Tim Driggers (Charleston) ended up in a tie for second as they both shot a 13 over 85.

In Division 5, AJ Greer (Upstate) had his best round on the APT as he fired a 12 over 84 to win by 7 shots. Danny Rodgers (Upstate) shot a 19 over par 91 to capture the second-place crown. Rounding out the top 3, Bobby Lewis (Upstate) shot a 20 over par 92 to take solo third place.

In Senior Net, Bobby Lewis (Upstate) fired a 3 under 69 to take the title. Phil Vangeersdaelen had an even par round of 72 to secure second place. Rounding out the top 3 was Greg Moore with a 2 over 74.
