Windrose Golf Club Tournament Results

It was a great sunny 80-degree day in Houston, Texas, and we had many low scores turned in from all divisions.   

Div 1: Nic Smith went out in 37 shots and kept his lead the rest of the way to take the trophy with a score of 78. Chris Hughes took 2nd place with an 87.    

Div 2: Three Division 2 golfers were tied after the front nine each shooting 37. However, James Michalsky shot one under par on the back nine for a total score of 72, taking home the trophy. Three golfers tied with a score of 80. Will Whitley won the scorecard playoff for 2nd place, over Ron Carlin 3rd place, and Doug Peters coming in 4th.    

Div 3: Jason McCain had a season best score of 77 to edge out and take the trophy over 2nd place Mark Gonzales 78. Three golfers tied for 3rd place shooting 82 Robert Scarpati, Glenn Green , Troy White.     

Div 4: Champion Rick Halprin won by 5 strokes with a score of 78 over 2nd place John Glover score of 83, who edged out by a stroke 3rd place Victor Rangel who shot a score of 84.    

Div 5: Rob Vespa shot a great score of 86 to win by 4 over 2nd place finisher Javier Quintero who shot 90. 3rd place went to Steven Courtney with a score of 91.   

Senior Net Division: Rick Halprin had a great “net” score win by shooting -11 net, over three golfers Glenn Green, John Glover, Robert Vespa who shared 2nd place and shot a net score of –4.
