Div 1- Barney Sutley birdied the 1st hole Saturday and never looked back. The Kentucky member took control of the division from the get go as he used his opening hole birdie to shoot an impressive 1 over, 73. He was 16 shots better than his closest competitor, Anthony Stout, who finished 2nd.
Div 2- Blake Benson got back into the winner’s circle Saturday as he was the lone player to shoot a sub 80 round in the division. Benson got out of the gates quickly with an opening 38 on the front. He pulled away from the field on the closing 9 with 2 birdies on both par 3s which led to his 7-stroke victory over Christopher Jones who finished 2nd. Jones’ 85 was one better than Todd Holmes who came in 3rd.
Div 3- Rick Collier made it back-to-back wins Saturday after firing a 12-over, 84. It took 19 holes to do it as Rickie Shae Keyes also fired an 84 after a solid back nine. Collier parred the par 5 1st to take home the trophy as Keyes bogeyed. Fred Tollett and Mitch Ellison tied for 3rd with dueling 86s.
Div 4- Daniel England claimed his 2nd victory in a row after a solid 86. England used a 6-over, 42 on the front to propel him to the win. England finished two strokes in front of Scott Heath who shot an 88 for solo 2nd. Rodney Oden finished third, 4 shots behind England.
Div 5- Kenneth Kidd was the 2nd Kentucky member of the day to take home the trophy. Kidd’s 18-over, 90 was one better than Michael Ridge Sr’s. Chip Kirkland finished solo 3rd with a 93.
