Woodside Plantation Results

The APT Palmetto/Midlands and Augusta Chapters held their first combo event at the private Woodlands Plantation Country Club. We were fortunate to be able to play at this venue. They have 2 courses and we played the Jones course. We look forward to coming back. The ones of you that missed this, you missed an amazing course and facility. Jamey and and his staff were awesome. Course has an amazing layout. I really enjoyed meeting all the Augusta members. Great group of guys! Hope we can do more combo events this season.

Div 1 the play was very competitive but in the end. Matt Williams made the turn 2 shots back of Chapter owner Lee Barton at -1.  Lee birdied the difficult par 4 #10 to go up by 2. Matt on the inward 9, fired an impressive 32 with 4 birdies in a row and take the lead and didn’t look back. Brooks Roberts also burned up the back and made it close with birdies on 17/18 to close the lead finishing 1 shot back from Matt  at -2.  

Div 2 was won by Ryan Smith firing a 73 +1 for the day. 

Div 3 was a battle to the end. We had 5 players finish with only 4 stokes difference between them. Jeff Johnston 86 edged out Wes Graves by 1 stroke. 

Div 4 saw Jimmy Mathis coming back into form and winning by 5 85 over Jimmy Sullivan.
 
Div 5 ended up going into a 2 hole playoff. Greg Williams and Paul Baker finished 18 all tied. Greg saved bogey on the second playoff hole to take the crown
