The STL Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour visited Lake Forest Country Club on Monday. 144 players tested their skills against this 18-hole, par 72 championship caliber golf course. With its lightning-fast greens and thick rough, it was a challenge for all players in the field. Lake Forest has hosted events such as The Gateway Nike Championship, USGA and PGA Tour National Qualifiers, and the Metropolitan Open Championship.
In Division 1, Blake Heimburger had a great round shooting 3 over-par 75 with 14 pars on the day. Coming in just one shot behind Heimburger was Robert Jackson shooting 4 over-par 76 on the day with an eagle on hole 14. Next stop on tour is the Father’s Day Skip day at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison Illinois. Ranked the #1 public golf course in St. Louis and the only course with bentgrass fairways, this one will not disappoint.
