Dauphin Highlands GC 2025 Recap
August 24th, 2025 – Central PA Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour – Dauphin Highlands Golf Club
The day started with slight rain but cleared up to be picture perfect for some championship competition. This may have been the last APT event to be played at Dauphin Highlands GC, so the competitors came out to give it their all just in case. The sale is final for 45.6 million, but the closure date is still blurry. If we get another chance, we will be back.
Division 1
Two players battled for the Division 1 trophy on Saturday: Tanner Fackler of Harrisburg, PA, and Noah Bowers of Camp Hill, PA. Fackler took off from the start and shot an incredible front 9 drawing even at 36. The back nine was great also going just one over par. Final scores: Fackler – 73, Bowers – 78.
Division 2
The Division 2 field took off with 9 players in the field. Joshua Kellerman (Shippensburg, PA), Ian Farley (York, PA), and Wulls Wullbrandt (Camp Hill, PA) all finished the round tied at +7 for a final of 79. When the smoke cleared, Joshua Kellerman was crowned the Champion of the day, taking the trophy, purse and points of a hard-fought battle.
Division 3
In a field of 12 players, one of them played the round of his life. Matthew Felix of Everett, PA came out on fire from the start and didn’t let off the gas till he crossed the finish line at 18. With 11 pars, 4 birdies, and 3 bogies, Felix ended the day at –1 under for a final of 71. 2nd place was won by Cassidy Salvador (Harrisburg, PA) with a (79). 3rd place was taken by Nickalas Gregg (Newville, PA) with a final score of (80).
Division 4
The 17-player Division 4 field delivered an exciting finish, with two players separated by just one stroke. Skylar Holmes of Elizabethtown, PA, came to win and delivered on the 18th green with a birdie to close the deal. The competition was fierce and through the front 9, Kyle Hall (Shavertown, PA) led the field by 3. J.P. Perron (Manheim, PA) was in 2nd at +4. The back 9 was the deciding factor and up to the start of the 18th hole J.P. Perron had control by 1. Skylar’s birdie closed the door and earned him the trophy with a total of (80). J.P finished in 2nd with a final of (81). Kyle Hall finished in 3rd with a total of (83).
Division 5
Nine players competed in Division 5. At the end the winner was clear. Thomas Kroh (New Cumberland, PA) took the victory with an amazing round of +13 (85). His round was solidified by only shooting 1 double bogey on the day. He put together a front nine total of 44 and the back 9 was 3 shots better at 41. 2nd place went to Kyle Crain (Jenkintown, Pa) with a final of (88). 3rd place was Taken by Tyler Varner (Shippensburg, PA) with a total of (92).
Open Net
Sixteen players under the age of 50 entered the Open Net competition. Matthew Felix took the top spot with a net score of -13 (59), earning the trophy, points, and prize money. Nickalas Gregg and Skylar Holmes tied for second at -6 (66).
Senior Net
Fourteen players competed in the Senior Net division (ages 50+). J.P. Perron won first place with a net score of -7 (65). Thomas Kroh came in second with –6 (66), while Pat Cronin finished third at -2 (70).
