    On Monday, the St. Louis APT held its first elevated event of the season, at the historic Norwood Hills Country Club West Course, which Ben Hogan won a PGA Championship at and annually hosts the PGA Tour Champions with the Stifel Charity Classic contested each September.  ELV8 Golf  sponsored Monday’s elevated event, which was a 36-hole marathon where 120 players competed for double points and double prize pool plus an additional $1,000 from ELV8 Golf.  The event was also the first in the brand new Golf with Jay Delsing Monday Series, which creates an additional in-season points race at some of the top venues in the St. Louis chapter.  Valuable points were on the line in the Autohaus BMW St. Louis Local Player of the Year Race, with players getting the first opportunity to separate themselves with the double points event and earn valuable points towards the season ending prize – a USGA Max Prize in each of our 10 divisions.

    In Division 1, Dylan Davidson jumped out to an early lead with a solid opening round of 1-over par 72.  Central Illinois’ Josh Anderson would come from one-shot back in the afternoon round, firing 73-75 to earn a 2-shot victory over DavidsonJohn Todd and Colin Hall finished in a tie for 3rd 3 shots off the pace, with 36-hole totals of 151.  John Todd earned the Senior Title with his 36-hole total of 151, besting Michael Clark by a single stroke.

    In Division 2, Lee McCarthy earned his first victory on the Amateur Players Tour, firing rounds of 75-76 to finish at +9 and best Dillon Keeven by one-stroke at +10.  3rd place went to Billy Davis, who was the round one leader at +2 but eventually finished in solo 3rd place at +11.  Mike Leonard finished in 4th place at +15, while Scott Cheek rounded out the top-5 at +15.  On the senior side, Billy Davis returned to the Autohaus BMW Winners Circle for the first time in 2025, besting Mike Leonard by 4-shots.  Mike Lingenfelter came in 3rd place in the senior division.

    In Division 3, David Ross had the round of the day in the afternoon, a 76 that helped him come from behind to earn a 4-shot victory at +17.  Paul Wilson made a move in the afternoon firing a 78 to ease into solo 2nd place at +21, while first round leader Chris Turner carded a solid 3rd place finish at +23.  Christian Benavides finished in 4th place at +26 while Mike Paubel rounded out the top-5 at +27.  Cory Newman and Brian Chilton rounded out the money in a tie for 6th place at +29.  On the senior side, Paul Wilson earned the victory with 2 solid rounds that saw him finish at +21, besting Chris Turner (+23) by 2 shots.  Brian Chilton finished in 3rd place at +29, while Jeff Morgan rounded out the money at +31.

    In Division 4, Justin Wilson returned to the winners circle with a marvelous final round of 79.  Wilson finished the one-day 36-hole event at +24 to best Gerald Harsley by one stroke at +25.  3rd place went to Zac Tredway who finished 4 shots off the pace at +28.  Allen Starnes finished in 4th place at +34, while Jim Nichols and Jesse Baumann rounded at the top-5 at +38.  On the senior side, Gerald Harsley picked up the victory by shooting rounds of 85-82 to earn a 13-shot victory over Jim Nichols. Mike Moynihan finished in 3rd place at +42.

    In Division 5, Brian Jennison made his way to the Autohaus BMW Winners Circle, posting rounds of 90-94 to best Dane Kearns and Ryan Troll, who tied for second just 4-shots back at +46.  Arthur Miller Jr. made the trip up from Memphis to finish in solo 4th at +47.  On the senior side, Chris Brockmeyer returned to the winners circle with a 36-hole performance at +48, besting Bill McMahan by 11 shots.  Jim Seibert finished in 3rd place.

    We had a 4-way tie for the top spot in the new Net Division, with Mike Paubel, Steve Tripi, Mike Leonard and Billy Davis each winning $171 each by shooting a 36-hole total of 3-under par.  5th place went to David Ross, while Gerald Harsley and Blake Wellington rounded out the money in a tie for 6th.
