2025 Florida Southwest Heritage Landing Golf & Country Club Tournament Results

On June 21, the Florida Southwest chapter of the Amateur Players Tour visited Heritage Landing Golf & Country Club in Punta Gorda.  We had 36 players participate on a hot sunny day in Florida.  Highlights of the day included: 

• Division 1: After 9 holes all but one player was within 2 shots of the lead held by Robert Green, Josh Farmer, and Bobby Booth.  The back 9 had Greene and Farmer in a battle all the way to the end and Greene prevailed by one-shot over Farmer as the rest of the field fell further behind.  Farmer finished in solo second.     

• Division 2: New member, Mike Aranzullo jumped out to a 1-shot lead over Nick Westbrook.  On the back-nine, Westbrook and Daren Green both fired 1-over par 37, and that was enough for Westbrook to overtake Aranzullo for the victory, his first of the 2025 season.   

• Division 3: In this division, Chris Scott jumped out to a 2-shot lead over Paul DiCaprio with a 3-over 38.  On the back nine, Scott held onto his hot hand with another 3-over par and another win!   

• Division 4: Greg Carr fired a sizzling 2-over par 37 for a 3-shot lead over Jay Shockey at the turn.  Carr tied for the best round on the back with John Oursler and took home the win.  Shockey and Oursler tied for second with 86s.   

• Division 5: On the front-9, Greg Gastfield jumped out to a 6-shot lead over Quinton Allen.  On the back, Mike Abbott lead the D5 players with a 46, but with Gastfield firing a 47, he held on for his first win of the season!  Dave Densieski had a 96 to take second!    

• Senior Net: 10 out of the 18 eligible players participated in the Senior Net game, and it’s no surprise that Greg Carr took home the win with a -5 performance.  Tying for second were Mike Bushee and John Oursler.   

A huge thank you goes out to Randy Clark and the entire staff at Heritage Landing Golf & Country Club for having the course in great shape!  Everyone enjoyed the course and the good weather.     

Our next event is at The National course at Ave Maria on Saturday, June 28, and will be our first elevated event with $40 per player in the prize pool!  Remember, the more players we get, the bigger the payouts!  Sign up now for your spot to play!  Registration closes on Monday, June 23!
