The Houston APT season wrapped up in style with the Kingwood Championship held across the scenic Lakes and Forest courses. This standalone two-day event was the final battleground for Player of the Year honors, and the pristine conditions set the stage for a thrilling finish.

    Division 1

Jarrod Brown set the tone early, firing a smooth 72 on The Lakes to take a commanding four-shot lead into Sunday. Donald Bradham stayed within striking distance with a solid 76. On day two, Jarrod came out blazing with back-to-back birdies, proving he was locked in. With Jared Marusic and Jason Hawthorne locked in a tight race for POY, and Bradham chasing Senior Net POY, the pressure was palpable. Jarrod stayed steady, matching his even-par round from day one to finish at 144 (E) and claim the Kingwood title. In the POY showdown, Jared edged out Jason by just 38 points to take the Division 1 crown.

    Division 2

James Michalsky was laser-focused from the start, carding a 75 (+3) on day one. He kept the momentum going with two birdies on the front nine Sunday, posting a 38 (+2) and pulling away from the field. James closed with a 78 (+6), finishing at 153 for the tournament and securing both the Kingwood Championship and Division 2 POY honors by a dominant 197-point margin.

    Division 3

Mark Gonzales led the way with an 87 (+15) on Saturday, while Charles Ackerman and Aryanto Maramis trailed by two strokes at 89 (+17). Mark stayed consistent on day two, shooting 83 (+11) to finish at 170 and take the win.

Gary Josephson had already locked up Division 3 POY thanks to his outstanding season-long performance.

    Division 4

Ray Medina posted the low score on day one with an 88 (+16), closely followed by Carolina Ackerman at 89 (+17). However, Sunday belonged to Bilal Jordan, who surged with an 84 (+12) to capture the championship. Ray Medina’s consistency throughout the season earned him the Division 4 POY title by 88 points.

    Division 5

Rick Pritchard came out determined on Saturday, shooting 88 (+16) to take the early lead. Tom Tribble made a strong push on Sunday, carding a 44 on the front nine to close the gap. Rick held firm, finishing with a two-day total of 186 to win the Kingwood Championship. Tom followed closely at 189. Rick’s stellar season also earned him Division 5 POY honors by a commanding 206 points.

    Senior Net

Donald Bradham took home the Senior Net title with a score of (-3), while Rick Pritchard finished second at (+3). The Senior Net POY race was a nail-biter, with Darien Duhon edging out the competition by just 6 points, finishing with a total of 317.

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone for an incredible season!
