    On Saturday, April 18, Augusta APT played at one of South Carolina’s oldest courses, The Aiken Golf Club. The short, rather narrow course proved to be a challenge for some, while others thrived.

    After the front nine in Division 1, Brendan O’Connell and Matt Perara were tied at two under par. Kevin Berry was 3rd at two over. Perara finished in 1st at four under and a score of 66. O’Connell finished 2nd with a 73 while Evan Moody, Taylor Gove, and Kevin Berry ended the round tied for 3rd with scores of 75.

    In Division 2, Jeremy Key was leading at the turn at two over par. Kevin Hoffman was 2nd at four over. Joseph Jones and Josh Partridge were tied for 3rd at five over. Key finished the tournament in 1st with a 74. Jones and Hoffman tied for 2nd with scores of 78.

    In Division 3, Brett Yon got his first APT win! Yon, who was 3rd after the front nine at seven over, ended the round with a score of 82. Mike Griesel was in 1st at the turn at four over. Daniel Montgomery was 2nd at five over. Mike Griesel and Evan Williams tied for 2nd with scores of 83.

    At the turn in Division 4, Russell Loyd was leading at seven over. Harold Heath and Ken Steele were tied for 2nd at nine over. Loyd maintained his lead to win the tournament with a score of 85. Austin Hubert finished 2nd with an 87 and Steele finished 3rd with a score of 90.

    In Division 5, Matt Murphy secured his first Augusta APT tournament win with a score of 92. Murphy was leading after the front nine at nine over par. Anthony Johnson and Mark White were tied for 2nd at 14 over. Johnson ended the round tied with Doug Moore for 2nd place with scores of 96.

    In the Mid-Am Net competition, Matt Murphy and Matt Perara were tied for 1st at one under par at the turn. Jeremy Key was 2nd at even par. Perara claimed his 2nd win of the day with a score of 68. Key finished 2nd at even par, with a score of 70. Brett Yon, Matt Murphy, and Carlos Brown tied for 3rd with scores of 72.

    In the Senior Net competition, Kevin Berry was in the lead at the turn at even par. Jeff Leagan and Bill Windsor were tied for 2nd at over. Berry ended the tournament in 1st place with a score of 71. Mike Hubert finished 2nd with a 72 and Craig Thigpen was 3rd with a 73.
