Playoff, Eagles and Strong Competition Highlight Denver’s Day at Omni Interlocken

The Denver chapter returned to Omni Interlocken Golf Club in Broomfield for another stop on the 2026 schedule, with players competing across five divisions along with Mid-Am Net and Senior Net competitions.

The tournament was made possible through the support of lpt Realty, owned by Denver chapter member David Killinger. As the event sponsor, lpt Realty contributed an additional $500 to the prize pool, providing a $100 bonus payout in each of the five gross divisions.

Players were welcomed by nearly ideal conditions throughout the day. Cloud cover kept temperatures comfortable for much of the round before the mercury climbed into the upper 80s late in the afternoon. Despite forecasts calling for possible storms, the rain and lightning stayed away, allowing everyone to complete their rounds uninterrupted.

Several divisions featured tightly contested leaderboards, including a two-hole playoff in Division 4, while the Denver chapter’s streak of impressive eagle-making continued with three eagles recorded during the round.

Division 1

Division 1 featured arguably the strongest field of the day, with 14 players teeing it up and roughly half the competitors entering the event as plus-handicap players.

Despite the depth of the field, Jeremiah Stumpff emerged with the victory after posting a 1-over 73, edging Rizzul Karki by a single stroke. Nicholas Sullivan finished just one shot further back at 75 (+3), while Philip Camillo and Nick Visocky shared fourth after rounds of 76 (+4).

The division also produced one of the day’s most memorable shots. Jeremy Minnick closed his round in spectacular fashion by making eagle on the par-5 18th, hitting his second shot to approximately 12 feet before converting the putt.

Division 2

Consistency proved to be the difference in Division 2.

Kevin Moore was the only player to finish at even par, firing a 72 to win by five strokes over a three-way tie for second between Brett Miller, Emmett White, and Hendrik Orlowski.

Moore also delivered one of the highlights of the day, holing his second shot from approximately 140 yards for eagle on the par-4 11th hole.

Not to be outdone, Emmett White added another eagle to the Denver chapter’s growing season total, holing out on the par-4 13th.

Division 3

Chase Hatcher claimed the Division 3 title after carding an 82 (+10), finishing one shot ahead of Michael Anderson.

Scott Rowley secured third at 84 (+12), while Seth Gurss followed with an 85 (+13). The leaderboard remained tightly packed throughout the round, with only a handful of strokes separating the leaders.

Hatcher’s strong play also earned him the Mid-Am Net championship, making him one of only two players to leave Omni Interlocken with multiple victories.

Division 4

The day’s most dramatic finish belonged to Division 4.

Jeff Fulkerson and Addie Berube both finished regulation at 86 (+14), forcing the tournament’s only playoff.

Neither player could gain an advantage on the opening extra hole as both made bogey. On the second playoff hole, Fulkerson converted a par while Berube settled for bogey, securing the victory after two extra holes.

John Anderson finished third at 88 (+16), followed by Van Rubick in fourth.

Fulkerson later added the Senior Net title, completing a two-win performance.

Division 5

Michael Elder controlled Division 5 from start to finish, posting a 90 (+18) to earn a comfortable victory.

Brandon Jansson finished second at 100 (+28), while Kristin Carnes rounded out the top three with a 101 (+29).

Elder nearly picked up a second title, finishing runner-up in the Senior Net competition.

Mid-Am Net

Following his Division 3 victory, Chase Hatcher completed the sweep by winning the Mid-Am Net competition with a 2-under 70.

Brett Miller claimed second after shooting 73 (+1), while Hendrik Orlowski and Addie Berube tied for third at 74 (+2).

Senior Net

Jeff Fulkerson capped off his impressive day with a 3-under 69 to win the Senior Net division, giving him victories in both Division 4 and Senior Net.

Michael Elder finished second at even-par 72, while Seth Gurss rounded out the top three at 73 (+1).
