On Sunday, July 26, the New Jersey Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour traveled to Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, for a fantastic day of championship golf at the acclaimed Blue Heron Pines Golf Club. A competitive field of 28 players teed it up across five divisions at one of New Jersey’s premier public golf destinations. While the field was lighter than usual, the competition remained strong as players battled for valuable Player of the Year points and tournament honors. Warm summer temperatures, partly sunny skies, and a light breeze provided outstanding playing conditions, setting the stage for an enjoyable day of golf from the opening tee shot to the final putt.
Widely regarded as one of New Jersey’s finest public golf courses, Blue Heron Pines Golf Club delivers a true championship experience. Designed by renowned architect Stephen Kay, the course winds through towering pines, natural wetlands, and rolling terrain, creating a layout that is both scenic and demanding. Generous fairways give way to strategically placed bunkers, well-protected greens, and risk-reward opportunities that require thoughtful course management and precise execution. Consistently recognized for its exceptional course conditions, outstanding service, and memorable design, Blue Heron Pines remains a favorite among golfers throughout the region and provides an outstanding venue for Amateur Players Tour competition.
With strong competition from start to finish, players had plenty to play for at Blue Heron Pines. The event featured $660 in Division Skins and Super Skins payouts, while $1,560 in total prize money was awarded across Divisions 1–5, as well as the Mid-Am Net and Senior Net competitions. Every division saw closely contested battles and impressive performances throughout the day.
Division 1 Division 1 featured a competitive field of three players, with Adam Fuchs continuing his outstanding 2026 campaign by capturing another victory. Fuchs carded a steady 2-over-par 74, separating himself from the field with consistent ball striking and solid course management to earn 300 Player of the Year points and $215 in prize money.
Blake Kocsis of Carteret, New Jersey, finished in second place after posting an 8-over-par 80, earning 100 Player of the Year points. John Krawczyk of Bayonne, New Jersey, rounded out the division with an 11-over-par 83, collecting 50 Player of the Year points for his third-place finish.
With another impressive performance, Fuchs continues to strengthen his position in the Division 1 Player of the Year race as the New Jersey Chapter heads into the final stretch of the regular season.
Division 2 Division 2 saw Adam Gamble of Hackettstown, New Jersey, continue his strong season with a convincing victory at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club. Gamble posted a round of 8-over-par 80, navigating the challenging layout with steady play to secure the division title. His win earned him 143.75 Player of the Year points along with $215 in prize money.
Mason Orfe of Titusville, New Jersey, claimed second place after carding a 26-over-par 98, earning 28.75 Player of the Year points for his finish.
With another division victory, Gamble adds to an already impressive season and continues to position himself as a strong contender in the Division 2 Player of the Year race as the season enters its final stretch.
Division 3 Division 3 featured one of the largest and most competitive fields of the day, with 12 players battling for the championship at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club. Troy Isaksen Sr. of Cranford, New Jersey, emerged victorious after posting a 9-over-par 81, a steady round that earned him 172.8 Player of the Year points and $241 in prize money.
Dan Sadler of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, finished as the runner-up with a 13-over-par 85, collecting 100.8 Player of the Year points and $119. Jose Martinez of Northfield, New Jersey, and Richard Stack of Jersey City, New Jersey, shared third place after each carded 14-over-par 86, earning 65.7 Player of the Year points apiece.
The New Jersey Chapter also welcomed Steven Kuback and Jacob Apple, both competed in their first Amateur Players Tour event. We are excited to have Jacob join the Tour, and Steven played as a guest, we look forward see both compete in upcoming events this season, and next.
Division 4 Division 4 featured a competitive field of six players, with Sal Leto of Union, New Jersey, capturing the championship after posting a 20-over-par 92. Leto’s consistent play throughout the round earned him 70 Player of the Year points along with $215 in prize money, adding another strong finish to his season.
A tie for second place saw Terrence Higgins of Wall, New Jersey, and Robert Irwin of Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, each finish at 22-over-par 94. Their solid performances earned 28.44 Player of the Year points apiece as both players remained in the hunt for valuable season-long standings.
Division 5 Division 5 brought together a competitive group of five players, with Stephen Kraus of New Gretna, New Jersey, earning the division title after posting a 22-over-par 94. Kraus put together a steady round to claim the victory, collecting 37.5 Player of the Year points and $215 in prize money.
A tie for second place featured Thomas Antonucci of Totowa, New Jersey, and Paul Taylor of Belmar, New Jersey, who each carded 27-over-par 99. Their performances earned 13.75 Player of the Year points apiece as they continued to add valuable points toward the season-long standings.
Mid-Am Net – The Mid-Am Net Division, contested using net scores, featured a competitive field of five players battling for valuable Player of the Year points. Jose Martinez of Northfield, New Jersey, claimed the Mid-Am Net title after posting an impressive Net Score of 1-under-par net 71. Martinez’s strong performance earned him 37.5 Player of the Year points along with $100 in prize money.
Stephen Kraus of New Gretna, New Jersey, finished in second place with an excellent Net Score even-par net 72, collecting 17.5 Player of the Year points
With just a few events remaining before the Local Player of the Year Finals, every net score and every point continues to play an important role in the race for the Mid-Am Net championship.
Senior Net – The Senior Net Division, competed using net scores, featured a strong field of 12 players with several impressive rounds throughout the day. Troy Isaksen Sr. of Cranford, New Jersey, captured the Senior Net title after firing an outstanding Net Score of even-par net 72. His steady performance earned him 48 Player of the Year points along with $161 in prize money.
A tie for second place saw Dan Sadler of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, and Sal Leto of Union, New Jersey, each post Net Score of 3-over-par net 75. Their strong rounds earned 24 Player of the Year points apiece, with each player taking home $39.50 in prize money.
With the Local Player of the Year Finals fast approaching, every point earned in the Senior Net Division continues to be critical as players battle for season-long honors.
