Firewheel Golf Park delivered another outstanding day of competition as players from across multiple APT chapters battled it out under hot Texas skies! While the temperatures were high, the 8:00 AM shotgun start helped everyone finish before the worst of the afternoon heat, and the competition certainly didn’t disappoint.
A special thank you goes to the entire staff at Firewheel Golf Park for another exceptional experience. As always, your professionalism, hospitality, and willingness to accommodate our players and APT staff made the event run seamlessly. We truly appreciate your continued relationship and look forward to returning again soon.
Division 1 saw Marc Young of the Houston Chapter claim the victory with an impressive 3-under par round. Chris Kazienko, playing as a DFW Guest, posted a fantastic score of 72 and has since joined the APT as a member. Jacob Rodriguez rounded out the top three with a 76.
In Division 2, Alrick Washington earned the win with a 77. The battle for second ended in a tie, with Andy Panwar and Kirk Russell of the Oklahoma City Chapter both finishing at 81.
Division 3 belonged to Willy Syrquin, who captured the title with an 82. Stu Kambury and Levi Verry shared second place after each carded an 84.
The most dramatic finish of the day came in Division 4, where Curtis Baugh and Mike Adcock of the Oklahoma City Chapter finished tied for first. The two battled through a two-hole sudden-death playoff, with Curtis ultimately prevailing to take home the victory. Mike claimed second place, while Billy Williams finished third with an 87.
Division 5 was won by Bill Brewner, whose 87 earned the top spot. Stephen Lamb finished second with a 90, followed by Jonathan Sample in third with a 98.
Our Net Division winners were equally impressive. Willy Syrquin captured the Mid-Am Net title, while Stephen Lamb took home top honors in the Senior Net division.
